This local event is North Smithfield’s way of celebrating Earth Day, building community and making our roads and water resources cleaner and more enjoyable for all town residents and businesses.
You are kindly invited to be a part of this year’s celebration. Our local businesses, residents and civic organizations will work together to pick up litter and debris from our streets, byways and waterways once again this year. We need YOU to join the hundreds of volunteers who will dedicate their time to “put garbage in its place” this year on North Smithfield's Clean & Green Day.

| NEW THIS YEAR!
Roger Williams Park Zoo's ZOOMOBILE is coming to
North Smithfield's Clean & Green Day Lunch.
Starting at 12:30 p.m. in the NSES Cafeteria, Clean & Green Day volunteers can hear a ZOOMOBILE presentation called; "V is for Vertebrates" where they will learn about how scientists classify animals and learn how to distinguish different classes of vertebrates. ZOOMOBILE brings along small animals, biofacts (bones, fur, feathers) and other learning tools for their presentations. This is a fun family event and a great addition to our Clean & Green Day event.

Keep It Clean Team
Our goal is to keep NS Litter Free all year long, and with your help we can do it. Just agree to this:
1. Adopt a road or community area.
2. Pick up any litter you see a couple of times a year.
3. Let us know where you clean and if your need trash bags.
4. Tell others to not to litter.
5. Let others know about the “Keep It Clean Team”.
6. Let us know if it okay to mention your name in any press about this new group.
